This apparently-recently-transplanted-from-Oregon gentleman had some kind of spider web tattoo on his elbow. The all-terrain tires are perfect for maximizing fuel efficiency while crawling through DC traffic.

I’ve met Brogan Bambrogan at a party and can confirm he does not drive a crosstrek

You’re mistaking my extra-dry sarcasm for saltiness.

My lowered-on-rubber-band tires , stick shift, hopped up with an extra 100  or so hp 335xi is a much worse vehicle for DC traffic than this upstanding former PNW resident.

Ugh, the sad part is the $20 to 95 on the express lanes is totally worth it

That is probably terrible to drive above 50 mph but since this is DC that will never happen.

If it had a cvt than efficiency is still there(because it’s terrible at everything else)

In the morning on my way to work on 495 South the sign for the toll to take 66 from the beltway to  DC sometimes tops 40 bucks.

I’ve heard the prices for 66 inside the beltway are absolutely crazy. Luckily the only time I take them is for work when I head up to Fairfax. Usually runs me about $40-$50 round trip (95 entrance to 495 to 66 and back ) but work pays for it . Although in June, I couldn’t get a hotel for one of the nights I needed to be up there, so I drove to my p arents’ house in Stafford instead of driving all the way back to Richmond..... . t he two round trips I took totaled $155.

Usually it's at least 20 bucks. Every once in a while on light days it'll be 10 bucks. I think one time it was $9.65 or something on the day after a holiday.

I am surprised it can go faster than 50mph and with that anemic engine. At least feels that way.

A 35 MPH interstate without traffic. OOF.

Atlanta tries to have Interstates with speed limits of like 55, but you bet when I slow down to 70 to be decent, everyone is still flying past me.

That’s not an interstate .
